From 1972, when I was 8 years old I
started to practice Karate and Kobudo. From 1978, I started to teach
Karate and Kobudo. From 1980 I have written many articles about Kobudo
in the leading newspapers, weekly and monthly magazines.
And I introduced Kobudo tournaments in India in the year 1986. In the
year 1992 I was selected as Secretary General for World Unified Martial
Arts Federation. Since I was conducted 12 WUMAF championships continuing
for all martial arts.
In the year 1995 I completed research studies (MPhil) in Madras
University in the topic of “Sociology of Martial Arts”.
I met Kobudo-Hanshi Eisuke Akamine and Sensei Hiroshi Akamine first time
at Ryukyu Kobudo HQ at Okinawa, Japan on April 1997. Since then I have
travelled 27 times to Okinawa, Japan to learn advance techniques of
Ryukyu Kobudo and Shorin Ryu Kyokai Shinbukan Karate – Do at HQ Okinawa,
Japan from Sensei Hiroshi Akamine under the guidance of Eisuke Akamine.
I am the first person who introduced the original Kobudo Kata in India.
And also I am the only participant who participated in Kobudo tournament
on behalf of India as well as South Asia – in the Okinawa Karate Kobudo
World Tournament 1997. And in the 1999 the First Okinawa Traditional
Karatedo Kobudo World Tournament, I am the only person who participated
on behalf of South Asia in Kobudo tournament in Sai category.
1999 & 2003 participated in Ryukyu Kobudo World Tournament organised by
head quarters and produced 5 international champions.
Since 2001, 5 international seminars did in India in the presence of
Hiroshi Akamine.
In 2001 I organized the first international seminar on Okinawa Karate
and Kobudo first time in India with the presence of world president
Hanshi Hiroshi Akamine.
I am the only person participated in the Okinawa Karate and Kobudo “Enbu
Tai Kai” martial arts festival – Japan, on behalf of South Asia in the
year 2001.
In July 2001 I have travelled to Europe for strengthening the World
Unified Martial Arts Federation (WUMAF) and visited London, Brussels,
Amsterdam, German, Switzerland and France.
I am the only person authorized and recognized by my HQ for Ryukyu and
Shorin Ryu Kyokai Shinbukan in India.
